Porto will reportedly insist that Rolando renew his contract before sanctioning any move to Juventus.

The Bianconeri have been chasing the defender for some time, and were believed to be close to securing a deal.

However, Gianluca Di Marzio’s website reports that a potential snag in the deal could be Porto’s insistence that the Portuguese centre-back sign an extension to his contract before any move.

However, Gianluca Di Marzio’s website reports that a potential snag in the deal could be Porto’s insistence that the Portuguese centre-back sign an extension to his contract before any move.

The website reports that Porto are wary of loaning the player to the Old Lady with his contract expiring in summer 2016. Juventus’ offer is believed to be a loan for €500,000, with a further €4.5m to follow in the summer to make the deal permanent.

Porto are worried were the Bianconeri to get to a situation where they were bidding for a player with just a year left on his contract, the actual offer would be reduced, therefore the Portuguese club will try to secure an extension to make sure they get the agreed fee.
