Matteo Politano could be the latest player to be leaving Napoli, as their entire front line will be revamped this summer.

Lorenzo Insigne has already signed for MLS club Toronto FC as a free agent and will make the move when his current contract expires on June 30.

Meanwhile, Dries Mertens is also discussing a new deal that is by no means sealed, as the club does not seem ready to activate the option on a renewal.

They are negotiating a different contract that would chop two thirds off his current salary.

Hirving Lozano and Victor Osimhen have also attracted interest from the Premier League, but now Politano is also reportedly ready to walk away from the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

According to La Repubblica newspaper, the 28-year-old is pushing for an exit so he can get more regular playing time.

Politano made 39 competitive appearances for Napoli this season, scoring five goals and assisting a further seven for his teammates.

However, he only started 22 of those matches and was becoming increasingly frustrated.

  1. I wouldn’t mind seeing Politano stay, I don’t think he’s a bad player. Spalletti’s system just isn’t made for the wingers to score hence why Insigne, Politano, and Lozano combined for only 10 league goals this year. I also wouldn’t mind seeing him go if Napoli can get something solid in return because all three wingers definitely missed multiple opportunities even when they were given the chance.
