Napoli will target Andrea Poli of Sampdoria should they fail to land Gokhan Inler from Udinese.

The San Paolo outfit have agreed a deal with the Bianconeri for Inler, but reaching a compromise with the player over personal terms is a problem.

With Juventus also in the hunt for the Switzerland international, Napoli are making alternative plans just in case they do miss out on Inler.

It was thought that they would target Angelo Palombo after Sampdoria's relegation from Serie A, but it is Poli they are more interested in.

That is according to a report in the Corriere dello Sport, which suggests the Under-21 international is near the top of their transfer wish-list.

Napoli and Doria could soon discuss the Poli option as they have to resolve the future of Daniele Mannini who is currently co-owned by both sides.
