The midfielder arrived from Sampdoria” data-scaytid=”3″>Sampdoria in the final days of the transfer session, but has been struggling with injury and only made his first appearance in today's 2-0 friendly defeat to Swiss side Lugano.
“I hadn't stepped on the field since August 14 with Sampdoria in the Coppa Italia, so it was certainly a great feeling and I can say that returning has to be a positive aspect,” Poli told Inter Channel.
“Clearly I need to get my match fitness back and hope to do it as soon as possible. It's incredible playing with these champions, as it helps you want to train harder and everything becomes easier.
“I will try to get into shape as quickly as possible. I'm young, want to do well and give my contribution to Inter as soon as I can.
“I hope to be ready for the next game against Catania. I've got another week to work, though clearly at the end of the day the Coach will decide.”
