Juventus are pushing to sign Miralem Pjanic from Barcelona, but the Bosnian would return to Turin only if one midfielder leaves.

The Bianconeri have signed Manuel Locatelli on loan with an obligation to buy from Sassuolo, but Massimiliano Allegri wants a deep-lying playmaker, so Pjanic could return to the Allianz Stadium.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Barcelona are open to letting Pjanic return to Turin on loan, paying half of his salary.

However, the Bianconeri must cut their wage bill and Barcelona have rejected the opportunity of signing one of their players, so the Serie A giants must find a new club for one of their midfielders.

The only one who seems to have attracted interest from a few sides in Europe is Weston McKennie. Tottenham director Fabio Paratici brought the player to Turin one year ago and would be open to taking the player to North London, but only on loan.

Juventus, on the other hand, need to sell the player on a permanent deal as a loan move would prevent them from benefitting from the ‘Growth decree’: a tax discount of 50 per cent on the gross salaries of players and coaches who haven’t lived in Italy for at least five years.

  1. Juve seem clueless,is pjanic an upgrade to d midfield.he has past his prime,Ronaldo was not d problem.the board did not have a long term plan thinking dey wud win d UCl becoz of Ronaldo.Am a juve fan but have to admit it’s going to be tough for allegri

  2. Ramsey? Bentancur? Rabiot?

Why is no one talking about this deadbeat trio?? Am I missing something here?

  3. @Cypher.

Bentancur is not ‘deadbeat’, but I agree on the other two. The other two are also on huge salaries as well. Bentancur is a player who when surrounded by better players has the ability to up his game. As for Rabiot, I just don’t get it. He plays for Juventus and gets into French squads, and I still haven’t worked out what he’s actually good at.

  4. Bentancur is young and was always performing well with Allegri. He deserves at least one more year. In the first two matches he wasn’t bad so I have a good feeling about him. I would keep him.

Ramsey can go as he spends more time in the hospital than on the field unfortunately. Otherwise the consistency might force him to improve.

Rabiot is not that bad but I agree that his salary is too high compared to the performance he gives.

  5. Bentacur is good at midfield player i love his tactics amd he is young so you can use next ten and nine years

  6. Bentacur has a sell on fee to Boca Juniors approx. 40%, so selling him would be shooting ourselves in da foot!

  7. @Cypher no other team is willing to pay their salaries. For Bentancur, Juve still has to pay his former club a percentage so Mckeenie, even though the biggest upside of the 3 being sacrificed.
