Roma’s Miralem Pjanic has discussed his own future, the upcoming season and the proposed move of Fabio Borini to Liverpool.

Speaking during today’s Press conference at Brunico, where Roma are in the middle of pre-season preparations, the midfielder touched on a variety of subjects.

“Am I moving? It’s too early,” the 2011 summer signing stated. “I have signed for four years and I want to respect my contract.”

Pjanic joined the Giallorossi with big ambitions, but Roma had their problems last term – finishing seventh and failing to qualify for Europe.

“My teammates and I want to reach the Champions League as soon as possible,” he added. “It’s a beautiful tournament and it is something I miss.

“I hope that next year we can participate, also for the sake of the fans who last year were always with us. They did not get the results they deserve.”

The Bosnian international, who turned 22 this year and had a fairly good first season at Roma since making the move from Lyon for a reported fee of €11m, then proceeded to add his opinion on Borini’s likely switch to Liverpool.

“If he’s happy, I’m happy. It’s true that we’ll lose a great player with a great season behind him, but now we must look forward.

“I am sure that we can accomplish great things with this team. Roma are candidates for the Scudetto.”
