Miralem Pjanic has affirmed that Juventus are ‘ready’ for their Champions League last-16 tie with Atletico Madrid.

The first leg kicks off at Atleti’s home of Wanda Metropolitano – which will host the Final – on Wednesday, and Pjanic made it clear Juve were not going there to sit back.

“Atletico have some great individuals, but they’ve shown in recent years that they’re the team who make the difference,” the midfielder said at a Press conference.

“The Final will be played at this stadium, but we know that there will still be many obstacles to get there.

“A very important cycle begins for us tomorrow and we want to come back here. Cristiano wants to win this game like all of us, and we hope to score tomorrow.

“We’re ready for this tie. Are we favourites? We feel strong, but there are many other great teams.

“Rodri? He’s an excellent player like many others at Atletico. We’ll have to be very patient tomorrow because they’re a team who know how to defend well.”
