The Chilean midfielder has already worked with Spalletti at Udinese and Roma.

Meanwhile, after Julio Baptista officially joined Malaga, full-back Rosi is also looking to leave the Olimpico.

“Clearly we are not happy with the situation,” agent Davide Lippi told Calciomercato.it.

“He made the decision to return to Roma based on a very different promise. We were told he'd have more room and leaving him in the stands for 14 consecutive games is not the way to prove their faith in a player.

“I can assure you offers from clubs, including big ones, are not lacking and it would be a grave mistake if Roma were to let him go.

“We will demand a meeting with directors and without the reassurances we want, we'll ask for a move away. We'd like to avoid a January switch, but if that were to happen, it would only be for a permanent move.”
