Andrea Pirlo believes Carlo Ancelotti and Napoli “will aim to win the Europa League” after their elimination from the Champions League.
The Partenopei lost 1-0 to Liverpool last night, going out of the competition on goals scored after the two sides finished level on points, head-to-head and goal difference.
Last season’s elimination saw Maurizio Sarri rotate heavily and a swift exit from the Europa League, but Pirlo doesn’t think that’ll be the case this season.

“Napoli showed great play and strength,” Pirlo said on Sky.
“The failure to qualify is a shame, because they did something extraordinary. Now, as Ancelotti says, they’ll aim to win the Europa League because it’s been so long since an Italian team won it.”
