Chievo President Luca Campedelli insists “I’m not thinking about relegation” and warns players “who don’t believe” will be sold in January.

The Flying Donkeys started the season with a three point deduction, and haven’t won a Serie A game all season.

They’re 10 points from safety, but since the arrival of Domenico Di Carlo as Coach the Veronese side are unbeaten and have managed draws against Napoli and Lazio.

“It’s a marathon, and we have to run more than the others,” Campdelli told Corriere di Verona.

“Clearly it’s better if we win, but we have to continue getting positive results. If we don’t lose and we get our points back in January then we can do it.

“I’m not thinking about relegation.

“January? Only those who believe in Chievo staying up will stay. We can’t afford to keep people who don’t love this shirt and who don’t believe in the possibility of staying up.”
