Former Milan Coach Pippo Inzaghi was full of praise for his brother Simone, believing he has 'achieved the impossible' at Lazio.

After revealing his thoughts on the chances of the Biancocelesti against Juventus on Sunday, he went on to speak about Simone's appointment at the club.

After Marco Bielsa quit the role after just two days, the 40-year-old was then promoted from the youth team with the club running out of options, and has since led his side to fourth in the standings.

"I do not think anyone believed it but Simone, it was an impossible mission and he has made it possible," the 43-year-old continued in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport.

"We were on holiday in Formentera when it was not clear whether or not Bielsa would come to Lazio and where Simone would go.

"I saw the desire of my brother, his determination to refuse other teams and in waiting for Lotito he ultimately saw it would lead to Lazio. Then he started working and transmitted his determination to the team.

"It will not be easy to continue like this, but he has the qualities to succeed.

"What would we say today if Bielsa had the same ranking that Simone achieved? We would speak of a magician.

"But I see that it is difficult for some people to say that Simone is really good. But we know how things work."

What are Simone's main qualities?

"A calmness that transmits to others. And then intelligence and charisma. In training he watches everything: he risks kidnapping the players!"

Would Pippo consider his brother to be better at preparing for matches or adapting the system during the game?

"Both things. He shows mental agility and competence. I do not like those who implement a single system of play.

"He’s smart enough to figure out which players will make the Coach's fortune.

"Simone adapts to the opposition and then intervenes: against Atalanta he changed the system three times.

"However, thirty matches are not enough, he will have to rise again and continue, but I'm happy for him. He is living an extraordinary adventure.

"He's Laziale and is very pleased to receive the love of the people."
