Pippo Inzaghi has reached an agreement with Bologna to terminate his contract, leaving him free to take over at Serie B side Benevento.

According to Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio, the 45-year-old World Cup winner has finalised the termination of his contract with the Rossoblu and is set to take over at Benevento.

He’ll replace Cristian Bucchi, who has just joined Empoli.

Inzaghi was sacked from the Emilia-Romagna club in January after just six months in charge at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.

Benevento lost the Serie B promotion playoffs to Cittadella and have recently announced the permanent signing of Roberto Insigne, the younger brother of Napoli’s Lorenzo, after his one-year loan deal.
