While Milan are backing coach Stefano Pioli, the same might not be true of his staff, as it’s reported a summit will be held to discuss their terrible injury record.

The Rossoneri are so far resisting the idea of sacking the tactician who won the Scudetto, then took them to the Champions League semi-final.

However, they are increasingly alarmed by the sheer number of injuries that have been sustained this season.

The vast majority of them have been muscular in nature, which inevitably points the finger of blame towards the fitness coach and medical staff.

While the situation is worse this season, muscular injuries have been a persistent issue throughout Pioli’s reign.

According to Calciomercato.com, during the break for international duty there will be a series of summits between the club directors, Pioli and his staff.

It is possible that some of the training methods will be tweaked, or even new personnel brought in to change the trend.
