“What’s the objective for this season?” Pioli considered his Press conference ahead of tomorrow’s Bologna match.

“What’s the objective for this season?” Pioli considered his Press conference ahead of tomorrow’s Bologna match.
“To consolidate and confirm ourselves in Europe. We know our rivals have reinforced, but we believe we’re competitive.
“We don’t have to change our mentality, we want to play an intense style of football, one game at a time. We tasted this [Europe] on Tuesday.
“The team has demonstrated the ability to play good football. Last year it was predicted we wouldn’t be near the top, it was a great stimulus.
“We’ve invested in young players, people always accuse Italian clubs of not focusing on youngsters, and then when someone does you [the media] are critical.
“We have great attributes, we want to prove we’re competitive. Everyone starts with zero points on the board, the pitch will decide things.
“We have a solid foundation, and we have to work from that. I have a good balance, experienced players who play for their national teams, and a lot of good youngsters.
“This will be a difficult campaign, with Juve and all their new players, then there will be the usual six or seven teams who will compete for the top spots.”
