Lazio Coach Stefano Pioli says “we have to make sure the real fans come back to the stadium” after racist chanting.

The Biancocelesti’s Curva Sud and two other sections will be closed for the next two matches, after fans directed racist abuse at Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly.

“What happened with Napoli doesn’t do anyone any good,” Pioli sighed in his Press conference ahead of the trip to Genoa.

“Don’t ask me if what the referee did [suspending the game] was right, because I don’t want to talk about it.

“In my opinion, we have to make sure the real fans come back to the stadium. Instead it’s going the other way, everything is being done to remove them.

“We [the team] haven’t given our fans the enthusiasm and passion they deserve. Then there were barriers and bans, which have had an effect.

“Football is a show, it’s always better with the fans.

“Of course, the responsibility is ours too.”
