Milan coach Stefano Pioli said Sandro Tonali ‘is a complete midfielder’ and revealed Ismael Bennacer is ‘ready to start’ against Cagliari on Sunday.

Bennacer entered off the bench and Pioli said his conditions have improved in recent weeks, enough to be available from the first minute tomorrow.

“His conditions have improved,” Pioli continued. “He is ready to start, then we will see what choices I make.

“We must expect great performances, he has everything: defensive phase and construction. He’s a player of great quality.”

Pioli was also happy that Tonali decided to remain at Milan and

“Wanting Milan at all costs means being proud to defend the colours we wear every day,” Pioli said when asked about Tonali’s presence in the squad.

“It’s important that he wanted to stay with us, he has everything to be a complete player, an all-rounder.

“His growth has been constant and there have also been difficult passages that are normal. Now, he’s more ready, more lucid and takes on more responsibility. He’s a complete midfielder.”
