“We must send another sign in the next match and continue to prove ourselves. This season we’ve taken chances, wasted others and learned lessons.”
Torino played on Thursday, beating HJK Helsinki 2-0 in the Europa League to top their group.
“We will face a team that is doing very well in Europe and will make us suffer. Their squad was constructed to handle two competitions and I think they will rotate the line-up. They also have an excellent Coach and a structure that has solidified with time.”
Lazio are not in Europe this season, but Pioli was asked whether they were targeting third place this term.
“We are building our future, but we are still at the beginning and there’s a long journey ahead of us. It’s true that not playing in Europe is an advantage in Serie A and we want to make the most of that.
“We will try to take Lazio back into Europe and are very eager to do well.”
Senad Lulic and Antonio Candreva need fitness tests, while Stefano Mauri, Keita Balde Diao, Dusan Basta and Santiago Gentiletti are unavailable.
