Carles Perez scored the only goal in the first leg of this Europa League Round of 32 tie.
“The first game Perez played against Sassuolo did not impress me and I told him afterwards that he needs more intensity to play in Italy. He gave the right response in the games after that, he is improving and wants to earn his space in this team.”
Gent have a pitch that is both synthetic and natural, so have Roma prepared for dealing with this kind of playing surface?
“The coach is not that favourable towards a run-out on the turf before a game, but in the warm-up we can evaluate the state of the turf and slipping around because of the wrong studs would be a terrible mistake.”
