Vladimir Petkovic insists 2013 was “a positive year” for Lazio and expects “many dangers” against Verona.

The Biancocelesti visit the Stadio Bentegodi on Sunday at 14.00 GMT, click here for a match preview.

“With the work done so far, we deserve to have more points,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“There are many dangers in this game. Hellas Verona are the revelation of the tournament, as they have an excellent mix of youth and experience. They’ve earned many points on home turf, so it will be tough.”

Lazio ended their month-long winless streak last week by beating Livorno 2-0 with a Miroslav Klose brace.

“What do I want from 2014? Nothing, we will just try to end this year on a positive note, then we’ll see what happens.

“I’d say 2013 was a positive year for Lazio. It was a struggle too, as we had too many injuries and too many things that went against us. Nonetheless, looking back at how many points we amassed, winning the Coppa Italia and progressing in Europe, it remains a positive year.

“I bring positive and negative elements from 2013, but it is still too early to judge, as we have one more important challenge for the year.”
