The 19-year-old returned to Genoa in the summer after a loan spell at Padova, but he was then shipped out to newly promoted Pescara.

“Sending a youngster to a Serie A club where he will be given the opportunity to be a protagonist was the right decision,” Matteo Roggi told TMW.

“It is in Genoa’s interest that a boy born in 1992, like Perin, is given the best opportunity to grow. Pescara, too, have immediately shown their faith in him.”

Perin, contracted to the port club until 2015, is rated highly in the Italian game and some reports on Thursday were suggesting that he could be a future Milan player.

“Mattia is happy and proud with the fact that Milan may have thought about him, but the boy is just concentrating on Pescara and the game against Sampdoria” data-scaytid=”20″>Sampdoria,” Roggi continued.
