Pescara President Daniele Sebastiani urges Gianluca Lapadula to choose Napoli but “I can’t hold anyone at gunpoint”.

The striker was top-scorer in Serie B last season, and is at the centre of a transfer war between the   Partenopei, Juventus and Sassuolo.

“As arranged, I met with Lapadula’s agent to to define our respective positions,” Sebastiani confirmed on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“We met here in Pescara to define some of our things, now the agent will go to Turin with the lad to define all the things they need to do.

“We have an agreement with Napoli, there’s no problem with the Azzurri. With [Aurelio] De Laurentiis, [Cristian] Giuntoli and the whole club it’s more than OK.

“Now Lapadula’s agent will meet the lad and he’ll tell him where he wants to go. It’s time, because it doesn’t seem fair that the lad has taken all this time.

“We’ve agreed with Napoli and with other clubs, it makes no difference for us. I’d be pleased if the lad went to Napoli, on a personal level there’s huge friendship and respect.

“Unfortunately I can’t hold anyone at gunpoint, so I hope the lad understands the importance of a transfer to Napoli.

“It’s a great club and I’d have no hesitation in choosing Napoli. The lad will decide in the end.

“We have a deal in place that includes [Gianluca] Caprari and Lapadula, Napoli would also leave Caprari on loan here for a year.”
