Roma’s Diego Perotti describes his side’s 4-2 win over Napoli last night as ‘doubly important.’

The 29-year-old got on the scoresheet, alongside Edin Dzeko and Cengiz Under, as the Giallorossi secured a highly-impressive away victory over the Serie A leaders.

“We had to do better than what we had done up until now,” the attacking midfielder commented after Eusebio Di Francesco’s team moved above city rivals Lazio into third place.

“We were able to bring it back and I think we won deservedly.”

“We had to do better than what we had done up until now,” the attacking midfielder commented after Eusebio Di Francesco’s team moved above city rivals Lazio into third place.

Perotti cited Roma’s ability to press their opponents as the key factor in their win at the San Paolo.

“We attacked high up all the time, our thoughts were to always go and press.

“We’re a team who look to press high, to win the ball back close to the opponent’s goal.

“They are the strongest pressing team in the League and I think that, for that reason, it was a doubly important win.”
