Palermo say that there is a “99 per cent” possibility that Siena’s Giorgio Perinetti will become their new sporting director.

The former Bari official has been linked with a Sicilian switch and Rosanero President Maurizio Zamparini has admitted that his arrival is likely.

“There is a 99 per cent chance that Perinetti will be our new sporting director,” he told RGS.

Zamparini hired Sean Sogliano as the club’s new transfer guru last summer, but he quit in November after the two men fell out.

Luca Cattani was then appointed to act as the club’s new market consultant. The latter is expected to remain at the Barbera as an assistant to Perinetti.

The club may also appoint a new Coach ahead of 2012-13 with Siena’s Giuseppe Sannino high on their wish list.

“I’m looking around,” Zampa added. “We’ll have to wait until the end of the season. I’m looking for someone who could re-launch the side, but I could keep Bortolo Mutti…”
