Mattia Perin admits the Coppa Italia will be an opportunity for Juventus to take revenge against Inter after the Supercoppa defeat in January.

The Bianconeri and the Nerazzurri will meet in the Coppa Final in Rome on May 11. It will be the fourth Derby d’Italia of the season, with Inter unbeaten against the Old Lady this term. Simone Inzaghi’s boys won two games, including the most recent one at the Allianz Stadium, and picked up a draw in the first meeting of the campaign in October.

In between, Inter beat Juventus in the Supercoppa Final in January.

“We’ll seek revenge after the Supercoppa, we’ll work hard to make it happen,” Perin told Mediaset last night.

Juventus’ second-choice goalkeeper has recently extended his contract in Turin and was among the best players last night thanks to three crucial saves.

“I’d go nowhere if I were alone,” the former Genoa man continued.

“We wouldn’t win these games without the help of the staff, it’s a victory that I want to share with everyone working at Juventus.”

The 29-year-old has played nine games this season, keeping four clean sheets and conceding eight goals. He is the first-choice goalkeeper in Coppa Italia games, where he has played four games from four this term. His new contract at the Allianz Stadium expires in June 2025.
