Genoa goalkepper Mattia Perin believes the down-to-earth attitude of the Grifone players is the foundation of their success.
Genoa currently sit third in Serie A in the final Champions League position, and welcome second-placed Roma to Luigi Ferraris on Sunday.
“I think humility is the foundation of our success,” Perin considered in an interview with the club’s official website.

“I think humility is the foundation of our success,” Perin considered in an interview with the club’s official website.
“We work hard, and we keep cool heads with our feet on the ground as we work toward a specific goal, which is to improve on our League position last season.
“We don’t feel pressure to qualify for Europe, if anything the ambition is to play well against Roma and enjoy this period.
“Genoa is my home as much as [hometown] Latina. Taking the field at Ferraris is special, I know I’m very lucky.
“Several teammates in the national team have told me they struggle under the spell of our stadium.”
