There are inevitably some injury concerns and fatigue after Wednesday’s 4-2 Champions League semi-final win over Liverpool, which still wasn’t enough to avoid elimination.

“Wednesday’s match against Liverpool was intense. We have to step on to the field today with the same desire for the three points that Cagliari have. We’ve got to set the tempo and not give them hope.

“We were sad after the Champions League semi-final, but also proved what we could do. Nobody expected us to reach that level and we nearly got to the Final.

“In football there’s no time to think or complain, we need to do well tonight and take another step towards our target.”
