Manchester United loanee Andreas Pereira said his future depends on Lazio. ‘I certainly wouldn’t mind staying here’.

The Brazilian 25-year-old arrived on loan with an option to buy from the Red Devils last summer and has played 23 Serie A games this term, contributing one goal and two assists.

Pereira spoke to TNT Sports about his future and admitted he wants to stay in the Italian capital.

“Lazio have the option to sign me on a permanent deal from Manchester United, so it all depends on the Biancocelesti,” he said.

“Lazio have the option to sign me on a permanent deal from Manchester United, so it all depends on the Biancocelesti,” he said.

“I know my skills have been appreciated this season and they have until end of the championship to decide.

Roma is a wonderful city and I certainly wouldn’t mind staying here. If they don’t keep me, I will have to speak to Manchester United to see what’s best for the club and me.

“I contacted [United coach Ole Gunnar] Solskjaer to understand my future and he told me we need to talk.

“I just want to play, because I still hope for a call from Brazil for the World Cup in Qatar.”
