Saturday night will see him return to Juventus Stadium with the Delfini, and the former Italian international confirms it’s a special occasion.

“This will never be just another game for me,” Pepe told TuttoJuve.

“I spent the most beautiful years of my football life there, I won a lot of trophies and was part of a top team and club, who I remain very attached to.

“The relationship with the Juve fans was fantastic. They loved me before the injury and they stuck by me in my time of need, when I was out for a long time.

“That’s why there’s a relationship of love and respect between me and them, I’m proud of that and I’ll thank them forever for it.”

Pepe was then asked what kind of game he expects on Saturday night.

“An extremely difficult game, because we’re playing a team which is strong in every area of the pitch.

“Pescara are going through a difficult period, but we have to get out of it together by being compact and cutting out the errors. We have to work on our mistakes.

“I’m afraid of all the Juve players, because I know all about their strength and winning mentality.”
