Even the lure of Champions League football is unlikely to tempt Chievo's Sergio Pellissier into joining Napoli.

The Azzurri are looking for a new centre-forward as they aim to strengthen ahead of a campaign that will see them take part in Europe's premier club competition.

Pellissier has been suggested as a possible target, a player who has been linked to the San Paolo outfit with regularity over the last 24 months.

"It's nice to know that Napoli are interested, but it doesn't depend only on me and I have received no offers so far," he told Calcio Mercato News.

"Playing in the Champions League would be great, but I've always said that I'd prefer to feature in games rather than watch them.

"That would be tough at Napoli because they have some great attackers…

"I think my future will still be here in Verona because Chievo have turned down a lot of bids for me and I'm happy here."

Napoli's front line is currently comprised of Ezequiel Lavezzi, Marek Hamsik and Edinson Cavani.

Pellissier, who has been capped by Italy, scored 11 goals in 34 League games this season.

The former Torino player celebrated his 32nd birthday last April.
