Chievo veteran Sergio Pellissier is out of Friday’s match against Roma and could be sidelined for several weeks with a thigh strain.

The 39-year-old limped off during the first half of Chievo’s 2-2 draw with Empoli on Saturday.

A statement released by the club this evening confirms he has been diagnosed with a muscular lesion to the femoral bicep in the right leg.

Pellissier has already begun treatment and “will be evaluated day by day” with Chievo medical staff.
