Giampaolo Pazzini is unlikely to be available to Milan for this weekend’s game against Chievo Verona.

The Diavolo were hoping to have the Italian international back after injury, but the 28-year-old is still struggling.

“Pazzini is still feeling discomfort,” Vice-President Adriano Galliani noted. “He’s working hard, but it will be hard to have him back.”

The summer signing from Inter has scored 13 goals in 22 League games for the Stadio Meazza outfit so far this term.

He’s been out of action since the 2-0 win over Genoa on the eve of the Champions League return against Barcelona.

“We missed him a lot in that Champions League game,” Galliani said of the 4-0 loss. “It was a real shame, but that’s an old story now…”
