La Gazzetta dello Sport understands that an offer worth €12m has been made for the 26-year-old Italy international who has scored six goals in Serie A this season.

However, Sampdoria are said to be holding out for a figure closer to €15m, although Riccardo Garrone is open to negotiation.

It's thought that Inter will reflect before making another bid, but a player is likely to be included in exchange and the name being touted around is that of Jonathan Biabiany.
