Gigi Del Neri gave Marco Storari a start with Jorge Martinez, Momo Sissoko and Felipe Melo, but Alberto Aquilani was on the bench against his hometown club.

The Giallorossi missed Francesco Totti due to suspension, but opted for Simone Perrotta supporting Vucinic and Jeremy Menez, leaving Marco Borriello on the touchline.

Amauri was sent clear by a Del Piero back-heel flick, but Julio Sergio rushed off his line to smother, while Nicolas Burdisso turned a free header wide from a corner.

Roma went very close on 18 minutes when Storari fumbled the Vucinic shot, then Fabio Simplicio turned the loose ball back into the six-yard box, but nobody was ready to tap in.

Del Piero broke the pressure on Juve with a deflected strike from distance that Julio Sergio scrambled across to tip round the upright.

Roma were forced into a substitution when Matteo Brighi limped off with a muscular problem, making way for Taddei. After the restart, Menez also had an injury and was replaced by Marco Borriello, while Milos Krasic came on for Amauri.

Krasic made an immediate impact, as within 20 seconds he whipped in a cross cleared for a corner with some difficulty. Roma also threatened with Storari blocking Simplicio's header.

The injuries continued to pile up, as Simone Pepe also limped off with a muscular problem for Vincenzo Iaquinta's comeback.

A Krasic cross-shot turned into a lob that looped inches over the bar, but it was Roma who broke the deadlock with a moment of magic.

Vucinic seemed to be lining up a cross down the left flank, but spotted Storari off his line and curled a magnificent right-foot strike in at the far post. Marco Motta backed off in the box and gave the Montenegro international the time and space to pick his spot.

Only a spectacular Storari save denied Philippe Mexes a second, as the header from a corner bounced off the ground and he pushed it out from under the crossbar with one strong hand.

Aquilani was on the touchline three times ready to come on, but another injury forced Motta off for Fabio Grosso, so he was unable to face his former club.

Juve tried to fight back, but Momo Sissoko and Del Piero couldn't keep their shots on target. Mexes was extremely lucky not to give away a penalty when he appeared to wrap his arm around Del Piero and drag him down from behind on 86 minutes.

It was a siege in the closing stages, but Roma again struck against the run of play with a wonderful strike. Taddei sprung the offside trap and was allowed acres of space between the centre-backs for an acrobatic twisting volley from eight yards that saw him somersault in the air.

Roma go through to face Inter in the Coppa Italia semi-final, a repeat of last season's Final. The other decider is between Milan and Palermo.
