Udinese have apparently failed to agree a deal with Juventus to take Michele Pazienza, paving the way for the midfielder’s possible return to Napoli.

As Il Corriere dello Sport report, officials from the Zebrette and Bianconeri met in Milan to thrash out a deal for the 29-year-old midfielder, who has struggled to earn a regular spot under Antonio Conte.

However, their reported failure to come to an agreement has led to the suggestion that any move to Udine is off for this window.

Following on from his agent’s claims earlier today, it now opens the door for potential negotiations with Napoli, the club Pazienza left in the summer to join Juve on a free transfer. Genoa are also believed to be tracking the ball-winner as a possible replacement for Juraj Kucka, who is edging ever closer to Inter.
