Brazil boss Mano Menezes has selected Milan's Alexandre Pato in his squad for the Copa America despite concerns over his fitness.

The Rossoneri striker picked up a shoulder injury in the club's last game of the season against Udinese on May 22.

Pato is one of six Serie A based players to be chosen, while Milan target Ganso of Santos has been picked too despite recent injury.

Inter have three players selected in the shape of Julio Cesar, Lucio and Douglas Maicon. Pato's Milan teammates Robinho and Thiago Silva are also there.

The tournament kicks off on July 1 in Argentina where Brazil will be looking to defend the title they won in 2007.

The Selecao have won the last two championships and five of the previous six.
