According to La Gazzetta dello Sport Javier Pastore is likely to part ways with Roma and could join Gonzalo Higuain and Blaise Matuidi at Inter Miami.

Pastore has two years left in his contract with the Giallorossi and played just 77 minutes in 2020-21.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 32-year-old is currently training in Miami, but he will soon return to Rome to rescind his contract with the Serie A giants.

Pastore wants to receive a payout, so the two parties will need to negotiate the end of the player’s contract.

The Argentinean is on a €4m-a-year deal at the Stadio Olimpico and the new Roma coach José Mourinho has no plans for the former PSG man in the Capital.

The player plans to fly back to Rome and eventually return to the US to join Inter Miami.

Both Gonzalo Higuain and Blaise Matuidi switched Juventus with the MLS side one year ago, and Pastore could join them from Rome.

According to the report, neither he nor Roma have received official offers yet, and his former club Talleres are also open to welcoming Pastore back and let him finish his career where it began.
