Roma midfielder Javier Pastore says Paris Saint-Germain “will remain the best club I’ve ever been at”.

The Argentine international spent seven seasons with the French champions, but left this summer to return to Serie A.

“The first four years in Paris I always played, but then I had a problem with my calf and was constantly injured,” Pastore explained to RMC Sport.

“I couldn’t find a solution with the medical staff to play without pain, but in the last year I haven’t had any problems.

“I couldn’t find a solution with the medical staff to play without pain, but in the last year I haven’t had any problems.

“I’ve started the season well, even though I’m still suffering with a little muscle fatigue, and I hope to keep going like this.

“I did the whole of pre-season, I played in the first three games and I ran a lot of kilometres. I have positive feelings and I want to continue like this.

“The problem is being a player that never players. Honestly, I played with all the Coaches I had at PSG and never had any problems with them, if I had then I’d have found a solution earlier.

“This summer my time at PSG had come to an end, the club wanted to sign other players and I didn’t want to stay and not play.

“But PSG will remain the best club I’ve ever been at.”
