Manuel Pasqual has left Italy’s training camp, returning to Fiorentina because of a rib injury.
The left-back was a doubt for tomorrow’s match with Bulgaria, and was ruled out this afternoon, although the news was somewhat overshadowed by Claudio Marchisio’s injury.

In a statement on the club’s official website, the Viola confirmed that Pasqual will return to the club to recover.
“Manuel Pasqual, in agreement with doctors for the national team will not be available for the forthcoming international matches because of persistent pain in his ribs, the area of recent blunt trauma.
“The athlete will therefore remain in Florence to complete recuperative therapies.”
