Mario Pasalic reassures Milan 'my injury was complicated, but it's over and now I can train painlessly'.

The 21-year-old joined the Rossoneri in a move that may have appeared as a bit of a gamble, as a herniated disc had forced the player out of professional football since February.

“It was a very complicated injury,” Pasalic told Goal.com. “The therapies weren't working and I didn't know how to get rid of the problem.

“But thanks to the help of some fantastic people I was able to leave it behind me, and now I'm training without feeling any pain.”

Pasalic was then asked about the history behind his move from Chelsea.

“I spoke with [Coach Antonio] Conte. My name was on the list for the tournee in the USA, but I wasn't ready yet and I decided not to run any risks.

“I was negotiating with two clubs, but then nothing came of it. As soon as I heard about Milan I was enthusiastic. It's nice when a great club wants you in spite of the fact that you've been out for a long time.

“I had my first training, but I still haven't spoken with [Vincenzo] Montella. As soon as I arrived in Milanello I got a sense of the club's importance. It's an honour and a great emotion to be wearing the colours of Milan.

“Croatian champion Zvonimir Boban? I visited Milan's museum and among the objects there was his shirt. Obviously I stopped to take a picture.”
