Lazio's Marco Parolo hopes his side's 3-1 win over Roma is the start of something special at the club.
The Biancocelesti were deserved winners in this afternoon's Derby della Capitale, a victory that consolidates their fourth-place position in Serie A.
"It was a deserved win, we deserved it and we'll enjoy it," Parolo told reporters.
"Compared to the first Derby of the season the team has grown so much, hopefully we can keep doing it from now until next year.

"In my opinion, Lazio won because we had the desire to run and show sacrifice. We were compact and good in different aspects."
The 32-year-old expressed his opinion that the Biancocelesti had been 'more of a team' than their opponents on Derby day.
"We were more of a team, all victories come because of the unity of a group. We want to work together and develop.
"I hope it's the start of a cycle with important players, the boss has a lot of desire. We have got a feel-good factor back, hopefully it's the start of something.
"The Coppa Italia Derby showed us that we are strong and can beat Roma. We prepared with the right concentration. It was a perfect day, now we'll enjoy it."
