Parma have announced that they intend to take up their option to sign Ludovic Biabiany from Sampdoria.

The Frenchman joined the Tardini outfit on loan last summer, but did enough thanks to his six goals in 38 League games to be confirmed ahead of next season.

“We’ll take up our option on Biabiany,” President Tommaso Ghirardi noted. “Therefore he will stay here with us.

“It is not official yet, but it is our desire to do a deal with Sampdoria – a club who we have an excellent relationship with.

“Biabiany is a part of our plans for 2012-13.”

The 24-year-old, who spent 2009-10 at Parma, moved to Doria in January 2011 as part of the deal that saw Inter sign Giampaolo Pazzini from the Marassi outfit.

The youngster can play out wide in midfield or attack.
