Parma director general Pietro Leonardi is hopeful that Roberto Donadoni will remain at the club amidst reported interest from Milan.

The 49-year-old signed a contract extension until 2015 earlier this season, but he has been suggested as a possible replacement for Massimiliano Allegri in the summer.

“We are proud and honoured that our Coach is being paired with such a great club,” Leonardi told Sky Sport Italia.

“However, we are convinced that our project can continue with Donadoni in charge of the side.

“If Milan President Silvio Berlusconi asks me to release him? If that was to happen, then he would call President Tommaso Ghirardi and not me…

“We have to give some continuity to the relationship that we have with our fans. Therefore we have clear ideas about our Coach.”
