Parma’s Antonio Benarrivo admits his side’s collective physical condition is not currently as good as it could be.

The Gialloblu have lost their last three Serie A matches after previously going 16 unbeaten but the defender believes they can still qualify for Europe.

“The condition of the team is not excellent and everyone has realised that,” Benarrivo told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli ahead of this weekend’s match with the Azzurri.

“We need at least 36 hours to fully recover, so there is all the time for us to do that.

“We can’t allow ourselves to think about tiredness, otherwise we are beaten from the start.

“We are not far from the European places, we just need one final push.

“Sunday’s match is important because Parma want to return to playing in Europe and our qualification depends partly on what happens on Sunday.

“The Azzurri are in good shape but we will pose them a lot of problems.”
