Parma Coach Roberto Donadoni believes that his side can compete with Napoli when the two sides meet tomorrow.

The Ducali are bottom of Serie A, and have faced turmoil off the pitch with the club being deducted a point after financial difficulties.

Despite their woes, Donadoni insists his side has nothing to fear when they take on seventh-placed Napoli.

“We want to get out of a difficult situation,” the former Italy Coach told reporters in his pre-match Press conference.

“We have a will to win and won’t give anything away.

“Napoli are coming off of a defeat and will want to bounce back, they know they’re playing the team which is last in the table and that will spur them on even more.

“But we know that we have what it takes to give anyone a game, we’ve shown that.

“No-one has outclassed us, except Juventus in Turin. We’ve proven we can match the other big teams.

“We go to Napoli with a lot of problems, but we’re not beaten before we get there.”

Parma defeated the Partenopei twice last season, but Donadoni doesn’t believe that will have a bearing tomorrow.

“We can’t clutch at that kind of superstition, they have a lot of depth and we know that they’re better than us in terms of quality.

“However, the situation was the same last year too, and we gave them two great games.

“This year we have to do even more, that’s what we need to focus on.

“Will we play for a draw? Parma are a provincial side, certainly not Champions League contenders.

“That ability is important for a team like ours to have. We’re a team which is struggling to pick up points, even though we’ve played just as well as our opponents.

“We have to be less naive.”
