“We are accustomed to playing in the Champions League and don’t think of this as a match point for qualification, but just putting in the best performance getting three points,” Paratici told Sky Sport Italia.

“The team is growing consistently in terms of performance, there are still huge margins for improvement, but we are on the right track.”

A victory here would secure their place in the Round of 16, but Matthijs de Ligt was left at home with an ankle injury.

“De Ligt is doing better, but he had a nasty knock during the derby and was not able to recover in time. He’ll return soon.”
