Roma President James Pallotta denies Alisson will leave the club – 'he has a contract and he’s a very good goalkeeper'.

The American owner arrived in Italy today for the second leg of the Champions League Quarter-Final with Barcelona, and he spoke to reporters after touching down.

“Why should he leave?” Pallotta asked, when quizzed about Alisson.

“He has a contract for a while, I love him, I never wanted to sell him when they were talking about it two years ago, I thought he was great and he’s showing how good he is.”

Pallotta was asked if he’s confident about tonight’s game, despite a 4-1 deficit from the first leg.

“I thought we played great the other night. We were unlucky with our own goals, for sure, and then I thought… three penalty kicks?

“There was a handball which may have been called, [Edin] Dzeko’s for sure, then [Lorenzo] Pellegrini was over the line… I’m not sure those are the toughest calls in the world.

“If we go up 1-0 it changes it right away and I thought the guys played well. We got unlucky with some of the goals and the last goal was kind of stupid but, yeah, I thought we played well.”
