Failure to beat Palermo on Sunday could reportedly spell the end for Roma Coach Rudi Garcia, with Carlo Ancelotti in the wings.

The Giallorossi have started the league campaign in indifferent form and a 3-2 Champions League defeat to BATE Borisov on Tuesday has heaped more pressure on their French boss.

Gazzetta dello Sport has reported today that Garcia is on trial by the capital club and that anything less than three points in Sicily could result in his departure.

The newspaper writes that President James Pallotta is far from happy with the Frenchman and isn’t afraid to sack him despite the financial concerns surroudning his lucrative contract that runs until 2018.

Gazzetta names Carlo Ancelotti and Antonio Conte as the two frontrunners to step in should Garcia be dismissed, and believes that both options have already been informally looked into by the club.

The Giallorossi are currently eighth in the Serie A standings after six rounds of action, four points off Fiorentina at the top of the table.
