Sirigu, who earns just €250,000 a season, has clashed with the Rosanero this summer over a new improved deal.

The club have offered to double his wages, but the custodian is pushing for an €850,000 a season salary.

Genoa could thus make him and Palermo an offer they can't refuse.

Should Sirigu be sacrificed, Palermo may then make a move for Chievo goalkeeper Sorrentino, a man who worked under new boss Stefano Pioli in Verona last term.
