Palermo chief Maurizio Zamparini believes Abel Hernandez will regularly find the net in Serie B with the Sicilian giants this term.

“You’ve seen how much he is worth,” Zamparini told Sky Sport Italia. “We really will need him in the new season.

“I actually think that he will be able to score between 25 and 30 goals for us, as Luca Toni did here in the past.

“Hernandez is a player who will make the difference for Palermo by staying another season. I think he, and Paulo Dybala, are players who will go on to be worth more than €30m.”

The 22-year-old Uruguayan international missed most of last season through injury after damaging knee ligaments.

The striker has been linked with possible moves to Roma and Napoli this summer.

“I’ve had no offers for him,” Zamparini added. “Zero, because there is no money. Everyone is waiting because they think he earns too much and they’d like him on loan.”
