Palermo have announced that the sale of the club to Paul Baccaglini “will take place by June 30”.



Maurizio Zamparini has agreed a deal to sell the Rosanero to Baccaglini and his backers, Integras Capital.

Despite the deal being announced in February and Zamparini stepping-down as President, the deal has not yet been completed.

“Today there was a meeting between the President of Palermo, Paul Baccaglini, and the current owner Maurizio Zamparini,” a statement on the Sicilian club’s website reads.

Despite the deal being announced in February and Zamparini stepping-down as President, the deal has not yet been completed.

“Today there was a meeting between the President of Palermo, Paul Baccaglini, and the current owner Maurizio Zamparini,” a statement on the Sicilian club’s website reads.

“Together they have ratified the agreement which has been in place for some time, as with they mutual satisfaction they have concluded the bank checks and due diligence in a positive manner.

“It’s therefore expected that the transfer of ownership, due to bank delays, will take place by June 30.”

Palermo were relegated from Serie A this season, and finished the campaign with no President or sporting director.
